The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Rumyantsev Readings – 2022” will be held in the Russian State Library from April 19 to 21. The annual conference will consider a wide range of issues on the theory and practice of library science, bibliography, book science, and current areas of library activity. The event will take place offline and online.
The purpose of the conference is to draw attention to the issues of preserving and studying the world cultural heritage, as well as to the problems of the functioning of libraries at the present historical stage, to search for promising ways of development, to expand intercultural interaction and cooperation between institutions of culture, education, and science.
Specialists of libraries, archives, museums, universities, research institutes, publishing houses, representatives of government agencies and public organizations are invited to participate.

The subject of the conference covers a wide range of issues on the theory and practice of library science, bibliography and book science. Among its main areas: the history of librarianship, the disclosure of universal and specialized funds of book depositories, the priorities and prospects for the development of library science, the multifaceted activities of modern libraries.
