Al-Farabi library

The Library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was established simultaneously with the university in 1934. In 2012, the library relocated to a new, modern five-story building with a total area of 17,856.6 square meters.
The Library's total collection comprises approximately 2.5 million publications. Additionally, the library is equipped with new technologies and communication solutions, creating a comfortable environment for learning and self-development.

International Al-Farabi center

The Center for Farabi Studies focuses on publishing the works of Al-Farabi, textbooks and teaching aids, and monographs on current issues in Farabi studies. It also researches the spiritual culture of the Turkic people. To learn more, click here.

Exhibition
"Seven facets of the great steppe

This exhibition reflects seven symbols of the historical heritage of the Kazakhs, highlighted in the article by the Elbasy (Leader of the Nation). It features: an ancient map of the Silk Road, jewelry and artifacts designed in the "Animal Style," and other exhibits.

Pan Gi Mun Institute for Sustainable Development

The institute was established as an international academic institution at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan, in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The First President Hall provides access to materials on the history of Kazakhstan's development and consolidation of independence. Abai Hall

Abai Hall, located on the third floor of the Al-Farabi Library, is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev. The hall is available for roundtables, seminars, training sessions, and other events upon request. It accommodates up to 80 people and is equipped with presentation facilities, including a projector, screen, interactive podium, and sound equipment.

Abay Institute

The purpose of the institute is to coordinate scientific and scientific-organizational work on the preservation, production and dissemination of knowledge through research, education, and propaganda.

Conference hall No. 416 is equipped with modern audio and video equipment, a podium, sound and visual accompaniment.

The largest conference hall of the Library, which can accommodate more than 320 participants, is equipped with the latest technology. Here we hold openings of major international conferences and receive political and public figures.
