The Al-Farabi Library has organized a book exhibition entitled “Анаға тағзым” (“Tribute to Mother”), dedicated to honoring mothers, promoting family values, and highlighting moral and spiritual ideals.
The exhibition features more than 100 publications from the library’s collection devoted to motherhood, the lives and creative works of prominent women, Kazakh culture and art, as well as family and universal human values. The exhibition includes works of fiction, biographical publications, memoirs, poetry collections, and journalistic works.
The main purpose of the exhibition is to highlight the special place of mothers in human life, emphasize the importance of love and respect for mothers, broaden readers’ spiritual and moral outlook, and promote literary works that explore the themes of motherhood and family values.
The exhibition is presented in three main sections.
“Mother — The Beginning of Life”
This section features literary and biographical publications dedicated to the lives and creative works of prominent women who have made significant contributions to the development of Kazakh culture and art.
Among the materials presented are publications about Kulyash Baiseitova, Bibigul Tulegenova, Amina Umurzakova, Nuketai Myshbayeva, Gaziza Zhubanova, Roza Rymbayeva, and other outstanding figures in culture and the arts.
“Mother — Eternal Love”
This section presents publications dedicated to the life journeys, academic research, and professional achievements of prominent women who have worked in the fields of science and education.
The section includes works and biographical materials about Rabiga Syzdykova, Alma Kyraubayeva, Khabiba Elebekova, Maken Tursynbekkyzy, and other distinguished representatives of science, education, and culture.
“The Image of Mother in Literature”
This section brings together literary works that explore the image of the mother, her important role in family life, the depth of maternal love, the bond between parents and children, and universal human moral values.
Among the featured works are “Ана шырағы” by Amina Shalabayeva, “Ана туралы жыр” by B. Kairbekov, “Ана қайраты” by S. Begalin, “Мәншүктің жұлдызды сәті” by A. Khalimullina, “Қамар сұлу” by S. Toraigyrov, as well as other literary works.
The exhibition provides readers with an opportunity not only to discover literary works dedicated to motherhood, but also to expand their knowledge of the lives and creative legacies of prominent women who have made a significant contribution to the history of Kazakh culture, art, science, and literature.
“Анаға тағзым” (“Tribute to Mother”) is a spiritual and educational initiative aimed at promoting reading, fostering respect for mothers and loved ones, and highlighting such important moral values as kindness, compassion, love, and respect for family.
