IFLA implements a body which helps the worldwide library community to meet in order to  consider issues of international importance.
IFLA was founded in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 1927, as official organization was registered after the adoption of the Charter, in 1971 in the Netherlands. Headquartered IFLA is permanently at the Royal Library in The Hague, Netherlands.
The main objectives of IFLA:
To support a high level of security and delivery of library and information services; promotion of understanding of the value and importance of high quality library and information services in the private, public and social (voluntary) sectors; represent the interests of its members around the world.

Library Assembly of EurasiaThe Library Assembly of Eurasia is a non-profit partnership of libraries of the CIS countries, the main goal of which is the formation and strengthening of a common information, library and socio-cultural space.
The emergence of BAU became possible due to the mutual desire of the national libraries of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States to unite to consolidate efforts in the preservation and development of common library activities, which was a reflection of the objective conditions and interests that have developed in relations between the CIS countries. , is open to libraries, library associations and other cultural organizations. By decision of the founders, the headquarters of BAE is located in the Russian State Library. The Library Assembly of Eurasia has its own printed organ – the journal “BAE Bulletin”, which is published four times a year.

National-Informational Librarian Centre LIBNET“The Centre” was founded by two national libraries of Russia: Russian State Library and the Russian National Library in March 2001, for the implementation of Russian Libraries cooperation projects in the field of creation, sharing and use of electronic resources based on modern technologies
Official registration of the Center, as an autonomous non-profit organization, was held on April the 11th, 2001. The center is supported by the Federal Agency for Culture and Cinematography.
Objectives of the Centre:
facilitating the realization of the country’s national library policy in the field of information; organization of cooperation in the field of libraries: implementation of the national formats of RUSMARC format and cataloging rules; bibliographic service; machine-readable cataloging; creation of electronic libraries; the creation of the Union Catalog of Russian Libraries (SCBD); creating authority files, assisting in the organization of cataloging technologies before publication (CIP); participation in the organization of training and retraining of library and information professionals in the field of information technology; organizing meetings and seminars on the issues of cooperation of libraries; providing access to the most important informational resources.

Interregional analytical list of articles (MARS)The project exists since 2001 and currently units  more than 200 libraries of different systems and departments which creates a composite database with the common efforts. Currently database contains accounts 1,700 magazines.
The features of the project is complete analytical magazines painting, the equality of all participants of the project, the use of uniform regulations and openness of the project. Any library can join the project if agreed with the applicable rules in it. The summary database does not contain the full texts of the articles.
But EDD project allows participating libraries to place the order electronic copies of articles for their readers.

International Centre for Scientific and Technical InformationThe International Center for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI, Center) is a specialized intergovernmental organization created on the basis of the intergovernmental Agreement on the establishment of ICSTI dated February 27, 1969 to solve the problems of ensuring the international exchange of scientific and technical information.
The main tasks of the Center under the Agreement are:
creation and maintenance of an international system of scientific and technical information and databases;
provision of information services for access to international databases of scientific and technical information;
support and conduct of scientific research in the field of theory, practice, forms, methods and technical solutions for the use of scientific and technical information, including analytical assessments;
assistance in training and advanced training of workers in the field of scientific and technical information of the member countries, support for the exchange of best practices in this area;
publication of information materials and the use of other forms of dissemination of scientific and technical achievements, as well as scientific and technical information.
