An international forum dedicated to the study and promotion of the rich heritage of the thinkers of the Turkic world – Al-Farabi and Muhammad Iqbal has started in the Al-Farabi Scientific Library.
Forum organized by the Kazakh National University named after. Al-Farabi, the International Turkic Academy and the Permanent Commission for Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTEC), aims to revive the historical memory and civilization of the Turkic and Islamic peoples in the context of Eastern civilization, as well as to strengthen long-term cooperation in the field of science and technology between countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The large-scale event brought together scientists from the humanitarian sphere of the Turkic countries and members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, TURKSOY, scientists from the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United Nations in Kazakhstan, as well as scientists from Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized a book exhibition.
