There was a presentation of the book of the statesman and public figure, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, famous orientalist, Islamic scholar Sheikh Absattar Haji Derbisali ” FORGOTTEN MISTRESSES OF THE GREAT STEP (IX-XX centuries)”.
In connection with this event, the Al-Farabi Library organized a book exhibition.

The purpose of the exhibition: First of all, the role of primordial traditions and customs and spiritual values in the formation of the nobility of the Kazakh people is significant. Spiritual values are an integral part of human life. Our main goal is to convey the spiritual values of such Absattar Haji Derbisali to future generations.

Ғалым.Мүфти.Қайраткер. A. Derbisali was known not only as a teacher and scientist, but also as a public figure. Literary-aesthetic, historical-philological and philosophical studies of Absattar Haji Derbisali are a great innovation in the development of our native literature and culture.

In the book “Islam and Time”, a chronicle of the main events in the field of religion and spirituality for two years as the Grand Mufti of Kazakhstan, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor Absattar Haji Derbisali Tam is a collection of interviews and articles in Kazakh and Russian, promoting the universal values of Islam, full of social harmony, solidarity and friendship and kindness between peoples and nations and ethnic groups.

For many years, Absattar Haji Derbisali searched for, studied and introduced into scientific circulation the written heritage of Abu Nasir al-Farabi, a leader of the Great Steppe, and other thinkers of the steppe. One of the features of Al-Farabi is that there is almost no topic that he would not write. He did not write about any branch of science in his time. The second feature is the systematization of science. Some might say that Aristotle also systematized science. But al-Farabi was the first in the Islamic world who began to systematize. He put all science in its place. This is physics, this is chemistry, this is philosophy. Even philosophy itself. This section contains Absattar Haji Derbisali’s book “Abu Nasyr al-Farabi – the personality of the Great Steppe”. The collection includes articles and reflections of an orientalist about the only child of the steppe, written in different years in Kazakh and Russian, as well as reflections on the life and work of more than thirty other medieval Otrar thinkers. The book is intended for the general reader.

Studying the fact that there are no contradictions between the principles of Islamic culture and the traditional worldview of our people, the author emphasizes that the Kazakh people have always respected our spiritual values, such as respect for parents, love for the Motherland, maintaining territorial integrity and unity, respect for elders, honesty and morality proves on the examples of the literary heritage. The humanistic concept, historical perspective, new methodology based on the traditional worldview of the people, in the understanding of our ancient literary heritage and the values of Islamic culture are valuable features of the works of Sheikh Absattar Haji Derbisali, which are of world significance.
