The Department of Publishing, Editorial and Design Art of the Faculty of Journalism organized the republican scientific and practical conference «Modern trends in the development of education of publishers and designers: experience, problems, prospects», dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Marat Yerkakov.
In connection with this event, the Al-Farabi Library organized a book exhibition.

The purpose of the exhibition: To acquaint guests, students and readers gathered at the republican scientific and practical conference with the works of Marat Yerkakov and the works of our teachers in the field of journalism, with the basics of publishing.
The exhibition consists of 2 parts:
- «Марат Ысқақовқа 90 жыл»
- «Баспа ісінің негіздері»
«Марат Ысқақовқа 90 жыл». In the 1st part, the first book of Marat Yerkakov «Sagynysh sazy», filled with a lyrical impulse, was provided. This work is interesting and significant. The works of «Darkan kunil», «Omirimnin sharainasy» were also presented, and in this section of the exhibition the books «Kazakh journalism», «Akparat Alemi» by N.Omashev, as well as the works of the luminaries of journalism Kozybaev, Barmankulov, Kozhakeev, Uaydin, Kenzhalin, Idrisov and
«Баспа ісінің негіздері». The editor oversees the Editorial and publishing process carried out to prepare books in accordance with the accepted concept. The 2nd section of the exhibition presents works that reveal all these areas: «Editorial preparation of the publication», «Technology of printing production», «Methods of calculating printing-printing costs», «Design of periodicals».
The reading direction of the exhibition: Guests, students and teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates, etc. gathered at the university for the event.
