Round table «A. Tarakov's research contribution to Kazakh literary studies and translation studies»

Anuar Sauatovich Tarakov was born on April 23, 1956 in Shalkode village, Raiymbek district, Almaty region. After graduating from the Faculty of Philology of the Abai Kazakh Pedagogical Institute, he worked in the newspaper “Leninshil Zhas” (now “Zhas Alash”) in 1980-1990, in the magazine “Parasat” in 1990-1992, in the newspaper “Almaty akshamy” in 1992-2000.

In connection with this event, the Al-Farabi Library organized a book exhibition.

The purpose of the exhibition: To show the contribution of Anuar Tarakov to the art of translation, in his works – great talent and skill, punctuality, special taste, depth of knowledge, responsibility in translation. The main goal is to increase the scientific search of students and young scientists, to promote the implementation of new ideas and creative ideas of the guests.

The exhibition consists of 2 parts:

«Әнуар Тарақов филология ғылымдарының докторы». Member of the Union of Writers and Journalists of Kazakhstan, member of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, laureate of the prize of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan named after M. Dulatov, poet, translator, since 2002 Professor of the Department of Theory of Literary Creativity and Literary Translation of the Philological Faculty of the Kazakh National University.Al-Farabi. In 1998 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “tulgasy Abylai Khan in poems and historical poems”. In 1996, he became a laureate of the prize of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. «Аударма әлемі». Anuar Tarakov has more than 200 research articles on Kazakh literature, literary studies, folklore, literary criticism, translation, journalism, art. Engaged in journalistic and artistic translation. Author of a standard program on the discipline “world literature and literary translation”. Member of the pedalka of the journal “Bulletin of the Abai Institute”. Chairman of the Literary Studies Section of the Faculty. The poems were included in the collective collections “ladders”, “Atameken”. He wrote the words to several songs. In 1998 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “tulgasy Abylai Khan in poems and historical poems”. In 1996, he became a laureate of the prize of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan. Now he is engaged in scientific and pedagogical work. The exhibition presents A. Tarakov’s books “theory of translation”, “interpretation”, “fundamentals of professional activity of a translator”, “art in a genius miracle”, “world literature and artistic translation”, “Abai’s translation talent”.

The reading direction of the exhibition: Guests, students and teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates, etc. gathered at the university for the event.
