KazNU named after Al-Farabi at the Faculty of Journalism hosted the Opening Ceremony of a branch of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan and the presentation of the book by Sagymbay Kozybaev and Abdukhalil Jalilov dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the newspaper “Evening Almaty” “My Evening”.
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized a book exhibition.

The purpose of the exhibition: to acquaint guests and students with the materials of the library, to explain that the newspaper disseminates factual information, provides only reliable information and at the same time benefits the society.
The exhibition consists of 2 parts:
- Ustaz. Galym.Tulga.
- Baspasoz ysy, Baspasoz kyzmety
- Ustaz. Galym.Tulga.Agymbay Kozybaev is the President of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, professor, teacher, who has brought up several generations in journalism for almost half a century. Born on July 15, 1944 in the village of Zhanaturmys, Mendykarinsky district, Kostanay region. As they say, “What you see in the nest, you will catch in flight”, Sagymbay Kozybaev comes from a noble family.His father, Kabash, led a collective farm during the Great Patriotic War. The scientist, who compiled the encyclopedia of journalists of Kazakhstan, has published many journalistic essays and scientific articles to date. This section presents about 25 books by S. Kozybava, including “Temple at the foot of the mountain”, “People are not gods”, “In the name of the word”, “Proud name – Journalist”, “Audience – all of Kazakhstan”.
- Baspasoz ysy, Baspasoz kyzmety
- The newspaper is a messenger of literacy and aesthetics. A tool for sharpening the tongue and educating a person. Socio-political newspaper “Evening Almaty”. Residents of Almaty called the newspaper the “lighthouse” of the city, which collected thousands of copies. The newspaper has been published since April 28, 1936, this year marks its 85th anniversary. It is published twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Almaty in two languages. The exposition included the works of teachers of the faculty of journalism, including: N. Chingizova “Management and marketing of regional periodicals”, Zh. Bekbolatovich “Press service”, B. Serdali “Design of periodicals” and others. There was also a collection of newspapers from the periodicals of the library “Evening Almaty”.
