Today, within the framework of the decade “Independence is the most expensive” in the Student Service Center of KazNU named after Al-Farabi “Keremet”, a fair “Kitap fest” has opened. Along with university teachers and students, residents and guests of the city visit it.
The event was opened by the advisor to the rector of the university, writer-translator Malik Otarbayev, who spoke about the value of the book – a source of invaluable information, impressions for the mind and heart. “On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, we acquaint young people with the world of culture and spirituality, which is the most dear to us. The fair presents both the products of the publishing house “Kazakh University” and other publishing houses and bookstores, “he said.
In order to awaken interest in reading among young people, publishing houses “Kazakh University”, “Qazyna”, “Kitapal”, “MARFU Press” and bookstores offered their readers a number of novelties.
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized an informational and documentary exhibition.
