Access to international Databases or how to find scientific information in the Internet space.

In this article, we provide a list of scientific databases to which materials are granted access.

To date, the Al-Farabi Library has access to the materials of 9 databases on a regular basis (National Subscription Databases and Subscription Databases), and also, as part of the agreements reached, we provide test access for a period of a week to several months to various databases and information resources.

National Subscription Databases:

1. Springerlink  is an international publishing company specializing in the publication of academic journals and books on natural sciences. SpringerLink journals are indexed in the leading scientific databases Scopus, Web of science, PubMed, etc. Access to the materials of the Springer publishing house is provided for an indefinite time (click to go to the description)

2.ScienceDirect is a unique source of scientific, technical and medical information, containing more than 14 million articles from prestigious scientific journals and books by Elsevier. (click to go to description)

3.Scopus is Elseviers abstract and citation databaselaunched in 2004. Access to Scopus materials is provided by national subscription. (click to go to description)

4. Wiley is one of the oldest academic (scientific) publishing houses in the world with a rich history and an equally impressive collection of content and solutions for science, higher education and business.(click to go to the description)

5.The IEEE Electronic Library is presented through the IEEE Xplore digital library and contains almost one third of the current world literature on electrical engineering, communications and computer science (click to go to the description)

6. SciVal – Analytical tool published by Elsevier. Keeping up with the fast pace of a changing research landscape requires information and analyses you can trust. 7. Aknurpress digital library is a software product with online access to the database of domestic digital textbooks and teaching aids. Has a qualitative approach to the selection of literature for the educational process (click to go to the description)

8.SoftBooks is a program for independent work aimed at supporting the learning process in general education, special, professional educational organizations, as well as educational programs, including continuing education (click to go to the description)

9.EBSCO – for Scientific Libraries provides researchers and students with thousands of peer-reviewed full-text scientific journals, as well as access to leading subject indexes. Test access is a database whose materials are provided free of charge for a limited time. Most often, access is granted to a limited collection. The list of test access databases is regularly changed, in connection with which, follow the relevant information on the main page of the site.

Database of own generation (click to open) – a full-text database of the Al-Farabi Library from its own fund, provided for review, at no cost.
