The database of the Al-Farabi Library of its own generation is available from home. To do this, you need to follow the link Full-text database, register or log in, if you have already created a username and password, and find the desired book by entering the name in the field or find all available keywords.
Our electronic catalog is also available from home. In the catalog, you can find publications from the entire library collection, as well as publications from partner resources. Attention! It is recommended to work with the catalog by going from the univer system, so that the system will perceive you as if from the university computers.

The Scopus abstract database is one of the most important research tools, one of the world’s largest databases. Previously, we have already written how teachers can activate an account via corporate mail. But Elsevier went to meet the researchers and now everyone can get remote access to the Scopus database. To do this, send your email address to: tastankulov.yerkin@kaznu.kz and in the subject line, specify access to Scopus. Then, during the day, you will receive an invitation from Elsevier publishing house to the specified email address, which will contain a link, username and password, through which you can use the Scopus database.

Urait, IPRmedia, EBS Lan and Wiley or databases integrated into the electronic catalog of the al-Farabi library. Now these databases are available from the electronic catalog. To do this, we recommend logging in to the Univer system, then select the “Library” button. After you go to the catalog, mark the resources of the partners you are interested in and enter the keyword in the search bar. For third-party users, we recommend that you learn about each database separately, because there are restrictions.

For example, you can go to the al-Farabi library, open your email on the third floor in the electronic hall (do not save your password), go to the Web of Science database and register with the email address. You will receive a request for authorization, click on the link. After the first authorization in the university network, the Web of Science database is available from home.
