Within the framework of the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022), by the decision of the UN, the International Children’s Unity Contest “On the Same Wave” was announced.

The organizers of the competition are the National Library of Ukraine for Children (hereinafter – the NBU for Children), the National Section of the International Council of Children and Youth Books (IBBY), the Ukrainian Association of Library Workers for Children.
The curators of the Republic of Kazakhstan are the Centralized Library System of Almaty, the coordinator of the competition is Alma Konarova (head of the Central Beginning Hospital named after S. Begalin, Almaty).
Dates of the competition: The competition is held from July 01 to November 16 (International Day of Tolerance) 2020 in three rounds:
The first round for the contestants in Kazakhstan – from July 1 to September 10;
The second round (for the jury) – from September 11 to 20. From September 21 to September 30 – sending the works of the winners to the organizers.
The third round (international) – from October 1 to November 16, the final.
Target group: students from grades 1 to 11.
The competition is attended by children from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ukraine, neighboring countries and the European Union in 3 age categories:
students of 1-4 grades;
students of 5-8 grades;
students of 9-11 grades
Individual and collective works in the following areas are accepted for the competition:
A children’s book transcends boundaries;
The future of our planet;
My country is on a world map;
The country begins with you;
What children dream about;
Children for the world!
- Competition participants of each age category are preparing a poster / drawing with a slogan (in Kazakh or Russian), which should be well designed, in content and genre, consistent with the theme of the author’s vision of the future of his country and the world on the planet.
5. The poster / drawing should be made on sheets of A-3 format, digitized and sent electronically to alma-kac@mail.ru before September 10, 2020.
Attention! Works sent after September 10 will not be accepted.
