From April 21 to 26, 2026, the International Scientific and Methodological Conference “XVIII Orazbayev Readings” was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, organized by the Faculty of History. The conference was dedicated to актуal issues in archaeology and related scientific disciplines.
During the event, modern data and methodological approaches to the study of ancient societies, cultural transformations, and human-environment interactions were comprehensively discussed.
On this occasion, a тематическая book exhibition was organized from the library’s collections.
Purpose of the exhibition:
The exhibition aimed to present and preserve the scientific heritage and актуal issues of archaeological science, highlight the особенности развития ancient societies, and showcase modern approaches to the study of cultural heritage within the framework of the International Conference “XVIII Orazbayev Readings.”
Additionally, the exhibition sought to present the works of scholars from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and to promote the scientific legacy of the outstanding archaeologist Abdimanap Makashevich Orazbayev.
The exhibition featured more than 100 documents, including books, academic works, and conference materials.
