National Book Day and Librarian’s Day are important occasions aimed at promoting books and reading, as well as enhancing the prestige of the librarian profession. A series of cultural and educational events will be organized within the framework of these dates.
Event Program:
🔹 April 15 – Meeting with Khamit Erdehan, founder of the “Kitapkhan” project
Objective: To motivate young people, promote reading, and create an open dialogue with a creative personality.
🔹 April 20 – Book Exhibition “Reviving Forgotten Books”
Objective: To draw attention to meaningful works that have been undeservedly overlooked by readers.
🔹 April 15–30 – Campaign “Don’t Forget, Reader!”
Objective: To provide an opportunity for readers to return overdue books without penalties and to обновить the library collection.
🔹 April 23 – экскурсия “Rare Books Holding the Secrets of Centuries”
Objective: To introduce visitors to the unique collection of the Hall of Rare and Valuable Books and Manuscripts named after Academician A. Derbisali, and to promote historical and cultural heritage.
🔹 April 23 – Intellectual Game “KitapQuest”
Objective: To develop logical thinking and foster interest in literature and culture.
🔹 April 17–23 – Exhibition “New Books – New Opportunities”
Objective: To present new arrivals to the library collections across university faculties.
The library is a center of knowledge and spiritual development, and the librarian is its heart and soul.
