The reference, information, and bibliographic work of the al-Farabi Library provides reference, bibliographic, informational, and advisory services to users based on both traditional and modern information technologies, including the library’s resources.
Main Activities:
Provision of reference services is carried out in both traditional and online formats (on the library’s website):
- thematic
- factual
- clarifying
- address-bibliographic
- Consultation for students and master’s degree students on the methodology of independent literature search in the library’s databases.
- Assistance in editing bibliographic references in the lists of literature for academic papers, theses, term papers, and other types of work.
- Annual bibliographic and library training sessions “Fundamentals of Information Culture” for first-year students.
- Preparation and publication of biobibliographic indices dedicated to the anniversaries of university faculty members.
- Preparation of the newsletter “Kіtap әлеміндегі жаңалық – News in the World of Books”* (on the library’s website).
