IEEE Training Seminar

On April 23 of this year, a workshop of the IEEE technical specialists community was held at the Al-Farabi Library. The speaker of the seminar, Director of NextDay Solutions LLP, representative of IEEE in Kazakhstan Viktor Vladimirovich Zhabrov, spoke about the possibilities of the IEEE Xplore electronic library, why a subscription to IEEE is needed, about the activities of the IEEE Institute, about the quality indicators of electronic resources, about the possibilities of participation of scientists and researchers in open discussion platforms (forums), about how students can participate in membership in the IEEE Community of Scientists. In addition, information was provided and a presentation was made about other subscription databases that NextDay Solutions LLP can offer. Users asked questions about the possibilities of free publication in IEEE hybrid journals and conference materials.

IEEE Xplore is an international database providing access to more than 6 million full–text technical documents on electrical engineering, information technology and electronics.

• More than 4,600 approved and published IEEE standards.
