The republican scientific and theoretical conference “Professor Alma Kyraubayeva: pedagogical and scientific heritage” was held at the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, organized by the Department of Scientific Theory named after Abai.
Alma Mutalipovna Kyraubaeva (May 26, 1947, Birkazan station, Kyzylorda, Kyzylorda region – February 5, 2001, Astana) – scientist, doctor of philological sciences (1997), professor (1998). Descendant of Kalgabay batyr. His father, Mutalip Kyraubayevich, was a poet, songwriter and wrestler. His mother, Kulzhan Suleimenovna, is the niece of Mustafa Chokai. His great-grandfather, Isaac Mulla, opened a school in Kumzhargan and taught Mustafa Chokay. In 1970 he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kazakh National University, in 1973 – postgraduate studies. Thanks to his teacher Beisenbay Kenzhebaev, he stayed at KazNU. In 1974 he worked as an assistant at KazNU, in 1978 as a senior lecturer, in 1981 as an associate professor, in 1998-2000 as a professor.In addition to teaching, in 1993 he opened a Kazakh humanitarian lyceum in the village of Zhandosov. In 2000-2001, at the invitation of Myrzatai Zholdasbekov, he worked as a lecturer, professor at the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov in Astana and the head of the Kazakh language department of the Kazakh National Academy of Music.
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized a book exhibition.
