The Al-Farabi Library hosted an international scientific and practical conference of the Faculty of Journalism of the KazNU on the topic: “FACULTY OF JOURNALISM IN THE PROCESS OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT”.
The Faculty of Journalism is one of the first faculties established in 1934 since the opening of the Kazakh State University. The faculty includes 3 departments: print and electronic media; UNESCO, international journalism and social media; publishing, editing and design art. A special department of the faculty – Teleradiocomplex named after. M. Barmankulova, Al-Farabi Channel, Al-Farabi Radio, Photo Lab. Currently, more than 800 students, undergraduates and graduate students are studying journalism.
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized a book exhibition.
