Khiuaz Dospanova – the first Kazakh pilot, navigator-sniper in the Great Patriotic War made 300 sorties. She was one of the “Night Witches” – the legendary female regiment of night bombers. She took an active part in the liberation of the Kuban, Taman, Novorossiysk, Crimea, Belarus, Poland. For her combat activities, Khiuaz Dospanova made 300 sorties. Together with her regiment “flew” to Germany. For courage and courage, Khiuaz Dospanova was awarded the Orders of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War of the II degree, the Red Banner, the medals “For the Defense of the Caucasus”, “For the Liberation of Warsaw”, “For the Victory over Germany”.
The Al-Farabi Library presented a book exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Khiuaz Dospanova, the first Kazakh sniper pilot, national hero of Kazakhstan.
