The al-Farabi library hosted an international scientific conference “Topical issues and practical issues of publishing and editorial skill and publication”, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the birth of the poet, scientist, publisher, teacher, candidate of philological sciences Kopbaev Temirgali Muratbekovich.
Kopbaev Temirgali Muratbekovich – poet, journalist, scientist, publisher. Member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, candidate of philological sciences, laureate of the International Literary Prize “Alash”. Born on February 7, 1962 in the village of Akkum, Tolebi district, Turkestan region. Temirgali Kopbaev has been the president of the Kazygurt publishing house in Almaty since 2001, aimed at publishing a multi-volume book of outstanding poets, writers and scientists.
The main activity of the publishing house “Kazygurt” is the publication of multi-volume works of outstanding poets and writers. The publishing house has done a lot in this direction since its registration.
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized an information and documentary exhibition.

A book exhibition dedicated to the poet’s work and the 20th anniversary of the Kazygurt publishing house, and a photo exhibition “Significant Moments” were placed in the foyer of the Al-Farabi Library. The presentation of a new book by Temirbek Kopbaev “Saban aksha” also took place. The exposition included a collection of poems “Kozmonshak”, “Echo”, “Ansar”, “Kie” and other books of the author, poems and articles published in periodicals.
About five hundred books published by the Kazygurt publishing house were presented, including valuable books by great Kazakh writers: the 10-volume Zhambyl Zhabaev, the 10-volume Ilyas Zhansugurov, the 15-volume Beimbet Mailin, the 15-volume Sabit Mukanov” from the series “Abaytanu” by Mekemtas Myrzakhmetovich, dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai. 10 volumes, “Saken Seifullin” 13 volumes, “Turar Ryskulov” 5 volumes, “Muzafar Alimbay” 7 volumes, “Kabdesh Zhumadilov” 12 volumes, “Tumanbay Moldagaliev” 15 volumes. ,”Sherkhan Nurtaza” 6 volumes, “Zhumeken Nazhimedenov”, and photo albums “Turkestan”, “Ancient cities of the Turkestan region”, “100 states of the South”. At the end of the event, the author donated his book to the al-Farabi library fund.
