The al-Farabi library hosted a presentation of the monograph by Professor of Sinology, Doctor of Historical Sciences Nabizhan Mukhambetovich “International phenomenon – the process of separation and integration of the Kazakh people.”
Nabizhan Mukametkhanovich – scientist, sinologist, doctor of historical sciences. In 1977 he graduated from Guangzhou State University in China. He began his career in the propaganda department of the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Okrug. He was a junior, senior researcher and deputy director of the Central Asian Research Institute of the Xinjiang Public Academy of the People’s Republic of China. Lecturer at the Kazakh National University. He made a significant contribution to science in the study of Kazakh-Chinese relations of the 18th and 20th centuries, the history and culture of the Kazakhs in China.
In connection with this event, the Library. Al-Farabi organized an information and documentary exhibition.

In February 1992, the Chinese embassy was opened in Almaty and the Kazakh embassy in Beijing. Trade, economic, cultural and military ties began to develop between the two countries. Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev paid several official visits to Beijing, and Chinese President Jiang Zemin paid official visits to Almaty.
