Al-Farabi Library invites all book lovers to participate in the university-wide online reading marathon “Reader of the Year,” organized as part of the nationwide “Reading Nation” project.
The aim of the marathon is to promote a culture of reading, enhance the intellectual potential of young people, foster an interest in national and world literature, and build an active reading community.
Who Can Participate?
University students, faculty members, and anyone passionate about reading are welcome to participate in the marathon.
To participate in the marathon, you can use the email address registered with your electronic library card and the password for that email account.
What Does the Marathon Involve?
• Read 10 selected books;
• Prepare personal reviews and literary analyses of the works read;
• Demonstrate active reading engagement and participate in an intellectual competition;
• Earn recognition among the top readers and compete for the title of “Reader of the Year.”
Start Date: October 22, 2026
At the conclusion of the marathon, the best-performing participants will be selected and presented with special awards.
