As part of “Al-Farabi Week,” a book exhibition titled “The Legacy of Al-Farabi – A Foundation of National Spiritual Wealth” was held at the Al-Farabi Library, dedicated to the 1155th anniversary of the birth of the great Eastern philosopher Abu Nasr Al-Farabi.
The purpose of the exhibition was to introduce a wide audience to the scholarly and philosophical heritage of the great thinker, to demonstrate the depth of his spiritual contribution, and to promote the expansion of the historical and cultural outlook of young people.
On display were the first Kazakhstani editions of Al-Farabi’s works, as well as translations of his writings, research studies dedicated to his philosophical, ethical, and scientific treatises, and publications that examine the thinker’s heritage in a modern context. Special attention was given to the reprinted editions prepared for the 1150th anniversary of the scholar. Visitors had the opportunity to explore Al-Farabi’s worldview more closely—his ideas on science, reason, morality, and knowledge.
This exhibition represents an important cultural and educational event aimed at preserving the immortal legacy of the great thinker in the minds of the younger generation and harmoniously integrating it with contemporary scientific achievements and the digital age.
