A poetry evening titled \u201cToday Is My Birthday, Oh My!\u201d was held at the al-Farabi Library to mark the 95th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kazakh poet and classic of national poetry, Mukagali Makataev, as well as the second anniversary of the founding of the Farab Readers\u2019 Club, which operates under the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the event, members of the Farab Readers\u2019 Club and student activists recited the poet\u2019s works, distinguished by their depth of philosophical reflection and lyrical expressiveness. In particular, well-known poems by Mukagali Makataev such as \u201cPoetry,\u201d \u201cHappiness,\u201d \u201cLet Me Leave a Written Plea,\u201d and others were performed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A special place in the program was given to musical performances. Popular songs based on the poet\u2019s verses were performed, including \u201cYour Eyes,\u201d \u201cYou Are Beautiful,\u201d \u201cWhat Happiness Means,\u201d and others. In addition, participants presented theatrical performances based on episodes from the life and creative journey of Mukagali Makataev, which made a vivid impression on the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the final part of the evening, audience members voluntarily recited the poet\u2019s poems, demonstrating a strong interest in his work and showcasing their artistic and performance skills. Invited guests delivered congratulatory speeches, expressed warm wishes, and shared their impressions of the poetry evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
